Our lecturer said, teaching is passion (she means, it is not for money----"OK, if I have enough"). I study education and teaching really because I love it and they need people to teach in Australia and in a lot of other places in the world as well, though it depends what kind of things you can teach...
These years, I frequently transit my travel in Hong Kong. I don't know why I develop a very special feeling about the city...not really love it so much that makes me want to stay, but it is really a connection and a melting pot of the Chinese and Western cultures and philosophies. Maybe this is why when the Western world would like to know something about the Chinese or "China", they do seldom turn to the mainlanders (maybe they are not that "able" to speak up...), neither the Taiwanese, but they take the Hong Kong views.
Well, actually what I want to say is just...I came across this fantastic book called "怪獸家長2孩子復仇記" (can be translated into "Monster Parents 2: The Revenge of the Children"...not the current Japanese TV series) by 屈颖妍 in Hong Kong. I know there must be a very popular first book in the series, but I haven't bouhgt it yet. When I am reading the book now as a student early childhood teacher, I'm deeply impressed, and I really would like to share these simple funny anecdotal but profound stories about parenting, children, education, and social values in this book to more people, in a helpful and a meaning way, if I can and as best as I can, based on my language and my shallow and narrow understanding of the area...
